EMBRC - European Marine Biological Resource Centre

This Marine Training platform is one of the European-wide services offered by EMBRC. Belgium, as one of the partners in this network is supporting the development of this service.

POGO - Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans

POGO, is a forum created in 1999 by directors and leaders of major oceanographic institutions around the world to promote global oceanography. Of particular focus is the implementation of an international and integrated global ocean observing system. POGO is a partnership of institutions involved in oceanographic observations, scientific research, operational services, education and training. POGO has 38 member institutes, including several consortia, from 20 different countries, and  works closely with other international and regional programmes and organisations.

EMBRIC - European Marine Biological Research Infrastructure Cluster

Funded under the EC Horizon 2020, the European Marine Biological Research Infrastructure Cluster (EMBRIC) is designed to accelerate the pace of scientific discovery and innovation from marine Bio-Resources. EMBRIC aims to promote new applications derived from marine organisms in fields such as drug discovery, novel foods and food ingredients, aquaculture selective breeding, bioremediation, cosmetics and bioenergy.

ERA-NET Marine Biotech

Funded under the FP7 ERA-NET scheme, ERA-MBT is a consortium of national funding bodies seeking complementarities between national activities to pool resources to undertake joint funding of transnational projects in the area of Marine Biotechnology. From 2015 onwards, all training courses offered within the consortium are included in the MarineTraining.eu training catalogue.

IOC/IODE Training Programme

From January 2015 onwards, all training courses offered by IOC/IODE are included in the MarineTraining.eu training catalogue. Training events are harvested from feeds initiated by IODE/IOC. Apart from collaboration on the training catalogue, IOC/IODE is also exploring closer collaborations for advertisement, and administrative follow-up of training.

Euromarine Network

The Euromarine Network is supporting the organization of some of the training courses advertised on the training catalogue. It is also advertising specific trainings to the end community and it is encouraging its 66 member organisations to use the portal  for both their programmes and short courses.

MARES Doctoral Programme

The MARES Doctoral Programme uses a subsection of the training catalogue to group and advertize the training courses approved within its doctoral training programme.

EMBC+ Master Programme

The Joint EMBC+ Master Programme in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation uses the 'Thesis and internship catalogue' service to group, select and advertize thesis and internship opportunities for students enrolled in the programme.

IMBRSea Master Programme

The International Master in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), is a joint Master programme organized by eight leading European universities in the field of marine sciences; Ghent University (BE), University of Pierre and Marie Curie (FR), University of the Algarve (PT), University of Oviedo (ES), Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (IE), University of the Basque Country (ES), Polytechnic University of Marche (IT), and University of Bergen (NO), supported by fourteen Marine Research Institutes belonging to the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC).
