Scope:
The Advanced Training for Liquified Gas Tanker Operations course has been designed to meet the requirements of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Table A-V/1-2-2. Taking the IMO Model Course 1.05 as a guideline.
Course content:
- Ability to perform and monitor all cargo operations;
- Familiarity with physical and chemical properties of liquefied gas cargoes;
- Take precautions to prevent hazards;
- Apply occupational health and safety precautions;
- Respond to emergencies;
- Take precautions to prevent pollution of the environment;
- Monitor and control compliance with legislative requirements.

Those who succesfully complete this course will be able to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities regarding liquified gas tanker operations and the prevention of potential hazards.
