General information
The Marine Biology Master aims to promote multidisciplinary advanced training in Marine Biology, giving skills to the analysis and understanding of marine ecosystems, from genes to distinct marine communities, their functioning and diversity.
The program includes a strong laboratory and field work component in different marine ecosystem with specific attributes, and various biological productivities from oligotrophic to eutrophic. There are several applications to exploitation, conservation and biotechnology. Also opportunities as researchers or technicians in scientific projects or continuing studies in a PhD program.
The theoretical courses of the programme are taught in English, while practicals are taught both in English and Portuguese.
