SCOPE: The Navigation Cluster course has been designed to meet the requirements of the Royal Degree VII/14 and 15.
OBJECTIVE: Those who succesfully complete this course will be able to understand the principles of voyage planning using different navigation equipment. Exercises will be performed on a navigation simulator.
COURSE CONTENT:
- Radar navigation;
- Voyage planning including how to maintain safe passage;
- Meteorology;
- Position fixing;
- organize bridgewatch;
- Introduction in the use of ECDIS;
- Emergencies at sea and emergency signals
