General information
The Geophysical Technologies has been widely used by scientist to investigate on several fields related to the underwater context. But now, new technologies and easier software allow incorporating these tools easily into several research projects. Through this course we want to raise a discussion about its problematic, an introduction to several instruments by student practice, and evaluate its utility in several research fields.
In this course, the student will have a one-day training course per each instrument: MultiBeam, Slide Scan Sonar, Sub Buttom Proflier and UAV’s. This open sea practices will take place on the Research Vessel UCADIZ.
A training course on Geophysical Technologies applied for underwater research, will offer to the students the opportunity to get deeper on this problematic and develop specific abilities on its research.
