Scope:
The Basic Tanker Training (Oil, Chemicals and Gas) course has been designed to meet the requirements of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Table A-V/1-1-1 and A-V/1-2-1. Taking the IMO Model Course 1.01 and 1.04 as a guideline.
Course content:
- Characteristics of cargoes, toxicity and other hazards;
- Hazard control;
- Safety equipment and protection of personnel;
- Pollution prevention;
- Emergency operations;
- Cargo equipment and other operational procedures.
Course dates: on demand
Those who succesfully complete this course are able to serve on tankers to perform specific duties and responsibilities related to cargo and cargo equipment.
